The Prophet Sulayman had this wonderful gift of being able to talk to animals. He was also a powerful and rich king, and so one day he decided he wanted to feed all creatures of the Earth. He asked Allah to allow him to do so, but Allah denied this, saying it was impossible to do. Nevertheless, Sulayman persisted on hosting a feast to feed all on Earth, collecting food for months. On the day of the feast, the first guest was a whale. Sulayman invited his guest to eat as it pleased, and in a short space of time, the whale ate all of the food, complaining it was still hungry. Sulayman said ‘you ate all of this food, and yet you want more?’ To which the whale replied, ‘O Sulayman, Allah feeds me this much thrice a day every day and yet you have become a reason for stopping my food today’. At this point, Sulayman was humbled by the power of the Almighty, as he bowed down and praised his Lord’s Kinship.
